I see you pushing all your pedals down
Changing guitars all the time
Like you’re searching for a secret sound
You’re not dangerous or reckless
With a plectrum on a necklace
And how can you be so seriously
Telling everyone to put their hands up in the air
You’re like a less than covert, drunken Casanova
Music flowing through you but its running over
I see you pushing all your pedals down
I see you pulling all your faces now
Like giving us your best sex gargoyle's
Gonna hit the high notes somehow
As the lights fall low at the end of the show
And we’re all standing in the shadow of your ego
You’re heading to the front, say you’re playing us one more
Well if we have to suffer you giving us another
Show a little mercy and play a cover
I’m sure nobody has shouted ‘encore’
I’m sure no-one here has shouted ’one more’
But I say through clenched teeth
I can’t fault your belief in what you’re doing here now
You really brought your guns to this town
I think the problem is me
And I should curb my jealousy - it doesn’t help anyhow
And stop putting all the good bands down
And stop putting all the good bands down
And stop putting all the good bands down
Great album. Almost a blend of Old Style and New Style Gaz. Delighted to have seen him perform two of the tracks live at Glastonbury. His performance was better than ever, and the songs are right up there with his best. matsan66
Like winter branches lined with snow and ice, Sam Ray (Ricky Eat Acid, Teen Suicide)'s latest is delicate, spare, melancholy, and beautiful. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 3, 2018
